It is impossible to say how children will be affected by an EMR. They might indeed disown her or that could be her worst fear.

Sometimes children take sides in breakups.  It can depend on how the parents handle itl

But I don't think she came out the woodwork saying she had an EMR. And I was in those shoes of kids picking sides, doesn't change me as a father.
