The abbreviation TL;DR (too long; didn't read) can be used as a tool for posters to summarize their long posts into a short paragraph at the end (or beginning) of their long post for those of their readers who don't have the time or the inclination to read a long post. In this way the original poster can get more readers and replies, simply by posting a long and a short version of their post.
Just post the acronym TL;DR ahead of your summary to indicate where posters who just want to read the short version should start reading.
