Are emotional affairs considered EMR's?

Had a long distance thing with a guy i met. He was the married one. So many complications, just to lose it all. Struggling to cope. Sad

Yes, they are. The R in EMR stands for relationship. A relationship is shared between two people who have a connection, whether physical or emotional.
