Hi, I am Sandy and new to this group.  I have been in a relationship for about 18 or 19 years.  We are both married and do not intend on ending our marriages.  Navigating this all these years has taken its toll on both of us as well as our personal lives.  But we love each other and we decided we can do hard things.  But wow, what a life.  I need help and support whether he does or not.  I am hoping to learn and grow here.

I had been married for decades when my EMR began. My marriage ended just a few years later, and then his a couple years after that. We are now in an OR.

I’m so thankful to have found this forum. Not only was it helpful to share my feelings, but I also learned a lot. I not only learned about navigating an EMR, but also about being a more whole person outside of any one relationship.

Me too, thank you for sharing.  I look forward to gaining some knowledge from others.  It’s been lonely trying to navigate EMR without support or anyone to just vent to.

Welcome, Sandy! Wow, that is quite the run, 18-19 years. I’m also in an EMR where we are both married and not leaving, four years in. I am sure I have much to learn from your experience, would love to hear more about how things have been all these years. And of course we are here to support you!

Hi, I have 7 years in, 8 if you count online only for the first year. Welcome, TS  has helped me process feelings unique to EMRS.  There are few people in our daily lives (if at all) we can speak to about these unusual relationships.
